Our Territory

At the South-Eastern edge of Piedmont, the domains of Gavi and Derthona have cultivated wine for centuries.

Lands of limestone and clay, sharp sun and long shadows — where every slope has a story, and every harvest reflects the rural identity and the patience of its growers.

GAVI — Home of “Cortese”, the courteous white wine

The region of Gavi is famous for its clean, mineral-driven white wines, born from the Cortese grape and shaped by the cool breezes rising from the Ligurian Sea.

Its vineyards, elegant and precise, stretch over gently sloping hills, producing wines with clarity, energy, and a distinct identity, rooted in centuries of tradition.

DERTHONA — Discover “The White Barolo”

The region of the Derthona tells a different story. Here, the Timorasso grape — once nearly forgotten — has been revived by passionate winemakers who believed in its potential.

The result is a white wine with bold structure, longevity, and surprising depth, grown in steep, sun-soaked vineyards carved into the hills around Tortona: Monleale, Sarezzano and Vho.

These lands are also home to the renowned “Barbera” and “Nebbiolo” red grapes.

Our customers' opinion

Emily R.

“Exactly what I was expecting.”

Everything matched the description on the website. The certificate looks good and the personalisation makes it feel less generic than most online gifts.

Thomas B.

“Well made, but quite simple.”

If you’re looking for something flashy, this might feel minimal. If you want something meaningful and clean, it does the job.

Sophie D.

“A thoughtful alternative to sending wine.”

I didn’t want to ship bottles abroad, so this was a good solution. It feels more personal than a standard gift card.

Oliver H.

“Nice idea, still room to grow.”

The concept is great and the gift was appreciated. There was a small detail that could be improved in how everything is explained at first, but honestly it didn’t bother me much. You can tell this is a project run by two young people who really care and are still refining things. For that reason alone, it’s worth supporting.

Why adoptagrape?

Leone Pertusati, Founder

Adopt a Grape is our way of inviting the world into our hills to slow down, to connect, to adopt a story that grows with the seasons.

This land shaped us. Now it can be part of your life, too.

Stefano Cabella, Co-founder

When we started this project, we didn’t just want to sell wine. We wanted to share a connection.

That’s why every adoption includes more than a product, it’s an invitation to walk the land, meet the roots, and taste the story behind each grape.

Come Visit Us Among the Vines

Even if your vine grows from afar, this is where it all begins. If you like to meet the hands behind the wine, or simply share a glass, you are welcome !
